jackAVISON
Born in Yorkshire, England, Jack received his formal art training at colleges of art in Bradford and Newcastle. Immigrating to Canada in 1980, Jack and his wife settled on Salt Spring Island.
Jack spends most of his free time in pursuit of art, landscapes and seascapes in watercolor. Over the years he has gained an extensive experience in life drawing and abstract painting but now concentrates on drawing and painting and exploring further abstraction and texture in his medium.
Three major things govern his present work: to pass on as much knowledge as he can and to help and enthuse those who come for assistance; to maintain his stand to offer only original art work to the public; to expand his ability as far as can be attained.
