The Art of the Fillmore The Fillmore is a historic music venue made famous by concert promoter Bill Graham. In early 1966 he got a lease on the Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco.

The first performers to grace the stage under Bill Graham at the Fillmore needed posters to advertise their upcoming events, this is where the artists of the day came in to create posters for each band. The artists were steeped in the culture of the time, in fact they were the culture of the sixties and seventies.
