I appreciate the importance of the ergonomics, the durability and the ease of maintenance in my knives. Balance is one of the keys in avoiding fatigue and to ensure the knife is an effective  tool.

Comfort for the chef is a huge concern. Weight, grip size and overall knife size are all considered in the design process. Functionality has been a credo of mine since I began making knives. These knives are meant to be used. I stand behind the workmanship on all my knives with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Cosmo knives are built to last a lifetime and include a complimentary sharpening service as long as you own your knife and I am able

Important Care Instructions 

  • Hand wash and dry your knife after use (do not use dishwasher
  • Clean the sheath and handle with soft damp cloth then buff with dry cloth 
  • Wood handles can be polished with furniture wax and buffed with soft dry cloth 
  • Protect the blade from contacting other metals in the sink, drawers, etc 
  • Protect the tip - the most vulnerable part of the knife; no prying, etc
  • Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight, intense heat and water 
  • To avoid instantly blunting your blade, avoid cutting on hard materials (ceramic, stoneglass) 
  • Your Cosmo knife may be sharpened in any of the traditional methods. We suggest Medium 
  • Grit Diamond stone for sharpening. To hone, we recommend either 6,000 Grit Water Stone or an Arkansas Stone. To achieve a shaving-sharp edge, use a leather strop and jewellers' rouge

Few would argue that Norval is one of the most important artists this country has ever produced, native or otherwise. 

The exact year of Norval Morrisseau's birth is not known, but is thought to be between 1931 and 1933 in Northwestern Ontario. Norval started to paint in 1959, after he received a “vision” telling him to do so. He was the first Ojibwa to break the tribal rules of setting down Indian legends in picture form for the white man to see.

Morrisseau was dubbed the "Picasso of the North" by the French Press in 1969 and is considered one of the most innovative artists of the Century.
