William Matthews

Book & Manuscript Connoisseur
I’ve been dealing in old & rare books, manuscripts, maps and related material since 1976. I began working for a bookshop in Saskatoon, opened my own in Vancouver in 1976, then moved to Toronto in 1980. I was in Ontario until 1996 when I moved to San Francisco / Berkeley and was part of Serendipity Books for a few years. Presently on Salt Spring Island, business is mostly conducted via the web and occasional book fairs.

This is my 6th year at UVic, majoring in Art History. I commute two days a week from Salt Spring, where I live with my two teenage daughters.
