Recycled Computer Circuit Boards

Peter spent the early 90s working as a computer sales consultant in Toronto. He had a young child at the time.
Appalled by the sheer volume of used computer mother-boards returned to the shop, he started to incorporate them into his artwork.
He would see young students paying +$5000 for a new computer one year and not even two years later these devices would be returned for an upgrade.
In this piece "Good Mother" Peter uses the imagery of a mother horse with foal made out of old computer circuit boards.
The horse was human kind's first automated messenger. And now the computer is our main source of communication.
Peter reflects upon his experience with the horses, computer mother boards and the many ways he can communicate with society.
