In the Forest

A memory of one of my first explorations of the forest on Thetis Island, where I ended up living for many years. My beloved pear is guiding me. 

Stone lithography is a printmaking technique where an image is drawn directly onto a polished limestone slab with oil-based materials. The stone is then treated with a chemical solution to ensure that ink adheres only to the drawn areas. Ink is applied, and a sheet of paper is pressed onto the stone to transfer the image. The process can be repeated for multiple prints, allowing for detailed and expressive results.
