The Steffich Fine Art Return Policy: Brought to You by the Salt Spring Gnomes

Ah, returns. The necessary dance of commerce, the yin to the shopping yang. While we hope every piece of art and treasure you adopt from us finds a forever home, we understand that sometimes, the stars misalign, and a return must be made. Fear not! Our return process is carefully overseen by the Salt Spring Gnomes—tiny but mighty beings who take their work (but not themselves) very seriously.

The Basics

You have 90 days from the moment your artful package lands in your arms to request a return. After that, the gnomes declare it officially yours, and they are notoriously stubborn about reversing their decisions.  Although our Head Unicorn Wrangler, Kaeli Yarwood can certainly cast a spell and overturn their decisions with a twitch of her nose.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it.  Think of it like a time traveler: it must look exactly as it did when it first arrived in your world. Proof of purchase is also required, so those gnomes don’t start accusing us of wizardry.

How to Start a Return

Summon us at info@steffichfineart.com to begin the mystical return process. For returns without cause, we kindly ask that return postage be covered at your expense—after all, keeping our gnome workforce well-fed and their mushroom larders stocked isn’t cheap!

Once our gnome clerics have reviewed your request, we’ll send you a return shipping label and a scroll of instructions detailing how and where to send your package. Do not—we repeat, do not—send your return unannounced. The gnomes get quite confused by unexpected parcels, and we wouldn’t want them to mistake your return for a gift.

Special Circumstances

Life happens. We get it. If your item arrives defective, damaged, or wildly different from what you ordered (like if you were expecting a wind sculpture and got a live parrot instead), let us know immediately so we can set things right. Salt Spring Gnomes are swift problem solvers when properly motivated.

The "No Can Do" List

Alas, not everything is returnable. The gnomes have spoken, and they cannot accept returns on:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, magical herbs, etc.)
  • Custom-made or personalized items (because, well, they were made just for you!)
  • Personal care products (lotions, potions, and enchanted beauty elixirs)
  • Hazardous materials (flammable potions and gaseous concoctions are a no-go)
  • Sale items and gift cards (the gnomes love a deal, but even they draw the line here)

However, we are a reasonable bunch, and if you have a unique situation, we’re happy to discuss it on a case-by-case basis. Just reach out—we don’t bite (but the gnomes might nibble).

Exchanges

Want to swap your item for something else? The quickest way is to return the original item (once approved) and we will work our inventory switch-a-roo magic.  Gnome bureaucracy can only be streamlined so much so a little patience goes a long way for our team.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll let you know if it passes the gnome approval process. If all is well, your refund will be sent via your original payment method within 10 business days. If you don’t see it after 15 business days, send us a friendly nudge at info@steffichfineart.com so we can investigate (and ensure no gnome is hoarding it in their tiny coin purse).

Got questions? Mystical inquiries? Need to chat with a gnome? (Okay, that last one is tricky.) Reach out—we’re here to make your return process as smooth, fair, and enchanted as possible.

With gnome-sized gratitude,
The Steffich Fine Art Team
