This is the first part of a dyptic (I sold the second one but it can be seen on my website) inspired by the story of my cat, Pupuce, being chased up a tree by a dog one day, and getting stuck up there for 2 days. My husband had to go and retrieve her with a very tall ladder. The first painting (Pupuce up) shows her climbing up the tree, the second one (Pupuce down) her coming down with a parachute (which we wished she had).
